Hey, I was just watching a couple of videos of The Elder Scrolls Online and was wondering if anyone else is going to get it? It comes out for PC, Mac, PS4 and Xbox One. IT comes out June 4 2014.

If I can get a computer that can run it well enough then I will definitely get it, I would consider a PS4 copy, if 1. I had a PS4 and if 2. I had a HD tv for the PS4 (still have a really old tv only :/)

Anyways you can pre order it here: http://elderscrollsonline.com/en/preorder

I personally thought it looked like a great game and since I loved skyrim so much (and still do) I was just wondering if anyone else here was thinking of getting it.

I was selected to join the open beta, and for me it was the most horrid experience ever.

The opening was very boring and bleak, and I couldn't play anymore of it after the first 30 minutes of just running around in circles with an insanely large amount of people. The quests had no proper way point/markers making it impossible to advance to next stage of the crowded tutorial-ish world, and the mobs were just push overs.

I was let down so hard by the hype train, that it made the experience 5x worse.

My biggest mistake was expecting an MMORPG similar to World of Warcraft. ESO online is nothing like WoW, and cannot be compared to it and any way shape or form.

In fin I found it as a mediocre attempt of making an MMORPG when it really should just be Skyrim + Multiplayer.

... opinions may differ, but I will most likely not purchase it.

edit: Also waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay expensive

double edit: sorta relevant : now this is an interesting MMORPG

Rule of thumb, if they say it's going to be the next WoW, it's not.

If they say it's going to bring in new gameplay and it's not like WoW, it's a WoW clone.

If they announce a MMORPG that's not WoW, it will fail.

Also, new WoW expansion coming out.

@Canga you are only talking about the BETA not the actual game, so I would not completely write it off just yet, make your decision when the game comes out.

As for anything else I found this video to watch:

*Note to consider* I am not a MMORPG expert and have only played the ones I played in elementary school a lot so I do not sure know about any specific standards.

Well, put it this way, all of the reasons were valid, but how many will be patched out?

How many glitches will happen that players lose their characters?

How many rollback on servers will occur?

Are the servers going to be stable?

How do you know you are going to like it?

How many of these things will stay the same when the games rolls out?

What about 21 reasons why NOT to play it?

How long will they support it before shutting it down?

I'm not planning on paying $60 just to see if it's good.  I'll wait a while then see if it's worth it.

You are aware beta has lost all meaning nowadays right?

The game is done. The only changes are small tweaks to servers and the occasional bug fixes.

The only reason it's open to public is to test server loads.

Regarding the video

Every single thing this guy says is possible in Neverwinter, Lord of the Rings Online, or World of Warcraft.

PvP problems

You can't rally expect it to be fair for a mage to have a high armor stat...

One class will be imba and stay imba if that's true.

My predictions

1.78403 million people purchase the Elder Scrolls Online with a monthly subscription its first day.

Servers crash

6.12801 million people first year.

4.271929 million people second year.

WoW gains 1.856081 active players, after ESO PVP called boring and imbalanced.

in the year 2015.231321 drops subscription fee for a 60 dollar activation fee.

IM CALLING IT

Why would a Skyrim player hand over his game and be forced to pay a minimum of 200 dollars a year when he can just continue his game.

I did mention I do not know much about MMORPG stuff, but all I get from your latest post Canga is "HATE". I can completely understand where you come from, and with releasing a highly anticipated online game there will be server problems for the first bit, just look at GTA online. And the video I posted with it clearly states why you will love it, and if you looked at the rest of their videos, they revolve around the Elder Scrolls and Fallout primarily, so I doubt they would list obvious concerns (in that type of video, they do post videos about news on the game) on why you will "Hate" Elder Scrolls Online.

But with the online servers for it, yes they will obviously experience server and character issues (GTA Online is another prime example, but also a prime example on how to handle it) if they do handle it half as well as rockstar did with GTA Online, it will be a good experience. I also doubt there will be huge servers for multiple people (if they do that it will not end good), but if they have the type of servers like GTA Online, but maybe more for this type of game (maybe instead of 16 people maximum maybe 24 or 30?) Scratch that, i finished watching the video I posted earlier.

Then again these are just thoughts to TRY to keep a positive outlook on this game. I can understand where you guys come from, but honestly the game still is months away and they could make a big change, you never know and I see NO reason at all to have so much hate towards a game that hasn't come out yet that doesn't rinse and repeat like Call of Duty.

I do have little experience with MMORPG stuff, so again all of my points could be invalid, but I am just speaking from my view.
