Coastercraze
Cities: Skylines is a city building game (think SimCity) developed by Colossal Order (makers of Cities in Motion) and published by Paradox Interactive. With the disappointment in Cities XXL (which is published by Focus Home Interactive - admittedly seems like a re-hash of the series), and the initial flop of EA's SimCity, Cities: Skylines needs to get things right in order to win the fans of this genre. From the current videos released, it seems they are doing just that. They've communicated with their fans through weekly dev blogs. The game is built on a modified Unity engine (similar to what Cities XXL is built on) and is currently available for pre-order with bonus digital content on Steam. Price for standard edition is $29.99 and Deluxe is $39.99. Cities: Skylines will be available on March 10, 2015. Anyone planning on picking this up? Coastercraze
Reserved the Deluxe Edition myself via Green Man Gaming (GMG) using a 20% off coupon: B1CYB0-CLSSD1-ARAAGM Took it down to $32. If you go through their VIP section, the base game is cheaper. Either way, pretty good deal IMO and it's worth supporting such a great studio! Here's a let's play by Sips:

Coastercraze
Just started playing it. So far so good. Had to relocate my sewage outflow pipe.. thought it was far away enough but I guess in a stationary body of water I just managed to hit my water pump and made everyone sick lol. All good now though, shoved them into the river.
wabuf
LOL .. that's awesome that you can even do that! I made a decent industrialized city and refused to expand until plants kept complaining about a lack of workers and I had to build up the other side of the freeway. Managing sanitary and storm lines is what I do on a daily basis, so it'd be really bad if I screwed it up in a game. ;P
Coastercraze
Up to around 30k population (purchased two squares) and my biggest problem now is dead bodies all over, trash, and traffic. Back to the drawing board lol.
