DrankisDank
Yup, so my new hard drive has officially failed. Good news, the warranty is still good. Bad news, It will take a while to get the replacement which means no minecraft :/
Mythil
Well, new harddrive so you can play minecraft on fancy? o 3o
wabuf
:/ sorry to hear this news. Hope all goes well getting your replacement. By chance, do you remember all your current setup's components? My sister and brother-in-law are looking to have me build one for them and if yours--besides the HDD, is functioning well, it would save me the step of having to search for compatible parts for the build. Mythil
Hey, just wondering, if I was to get a gaming laptop, what kind should I get? Or should I just buy a desktop?
DrankisDank
Desktop as far as I think of it, gaming laptop is an oxymoron.

Coastercraze
I can't carry a desktop to China on a whim... QQ Laptop wise, maybe one of these? ASUS: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6834230132 ACER: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6834215245 Lenovo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6834246327 Key things to look for in a laptop: - Dedicated Graphics - RAM (though upgradable, good to know if it can support more than 4GB like 2 x 4 GB sticks) - CPU - Intel Core i series for the win (sandy bridge is optimal, might get a good deal on a last gen Core i5)
