CloudLogic
As we all know, villages are now added into the map that we choose to create. So, what are our rules going to be as to what you can do with them? If we choose the map that Myth found then there are already two right next to each other. How do we decide on letting the members use them? Do we want to put protections on the village? Everyone can use the wheat etc.? I believe notch said they would eventually become infinite amounts of them if u just kept exploring the map. So, if some member finds a village is it theirs? Or everyone can just destroy the villages and take the shit. Anyways just would like to hear your thoughts.
wabuf
Interesting thought... I guess I really haven't explored it too much yet. I would like to see villages--that are in the immediate area surrounding spawn, to be protected and sold using our iConomy system. Also, I would like to see them added on to and so forth (with different architecture/sizes/etc). With pillaging villages, I think a rule needs to be put in place there! How about, if a member finds a new area containing a village, they must notify a staff-member first. So that we can decide one of two things: [*:21zawi5f]If it's a small, rundown village => They have the choice to take ownership or pillage. [*:21zawi5f]If it's a magnificent village full of towers and complete gardens, lighting, etc. => At our discretion, they may take founding rights, but not full ownership.Something like this; Fair, more or less. Mythil
I think that the first person to set up a perimeter around the village using any type of block (that is not dirt, stone, sand, or gravel) with a sign (basically the middle) of claim gets the village. wabuf
Wow, that's a really interesting way! Then you'll get some heated PvP blood-wars going on. I'll have to let that idea sink the rest of the way in...
