LaZy__Sp00nz27
Yup i know everybody is busy but maybe we can arrange a date maybe a couple to have a UH, i am just suggesting this but if everybody is too busy then i understand. My suggestion is we hold 1-2 the week we decide to do a UH (i think Friday, Saturday or Sunday are the best days). and maybe add a function/rule the people that die can spectate but they are not allowed to tell there team anything. Maybe set up a dead group skype call for people that died in that UH. Just a suggestion feel free to forget about this one.
LaZy__Sp00nz27
Well i can either see that people just read this and went on with their day or read it a did not dare. The one thing i find frusterating is that i see a community event like this bringing people together (keep in mind it doesn't have to be UH) but since i do not see this happening in the near future of ever again why should i waste my precious time on suggesting something that will most likely not happen again. Personally for me there is nothing to do on the server so i see comunity events like this making people in the community get along better (which was one of the reasons we got a new map and changed some plugins wasn't it)? Either way this goes all i am trying to do is help out but obvioulsy i cannot do it alone so if nobody really care then why waste my valuable time, effort and energy. wabuf
Could have sworn I replied .. xD Anywho, it will happen again, it's just that no one on staff has enough time to coordinate these events. I got a full-time, 60+ hour per week job that's rather demanding and Coaster's always got his hands full. However, there will certainly be another event. Who's stopping you from coordinating a live, in-game event?
LaZy__Sp00nz27
I understand that everybody is busy and the thing that is stopping me is mainly knowing how to and having a server but if i new how to i would try to make a automatic plugin for UHC events. Edit: Also the fact that i lack enough computer smarts (and that my laptop is being fixed at the moment) is also why but if i could get some help i could deffinitly coordenate these events! Coastercraze
I'm just lazy, but I suppose a template could be made and just dropped in.
wabuf
I have a template, but the problem lies with configuration. It's far from automatic. But, everything can be done from in-game once the template is launched. To initialize a match, the following properties need managed manually: Since it will begin in white-list mode with only the event coordinator as operator: white-list members and set teams Designate a central "spawn" location and measure out a desired diameter using WorldEdit's //count tool At the designated spawn, define a world border with the counted diameter If using UHC teams--as opposed to free-for-all, use the scatter command with an appropriate diameter so people don't spawn outside Apply the white-list and allow players to join and situate Tend to any issues there may be with teams and placement/proximity Call the match to begin Not that complicated, but somewhat frustrating if done out of order! xD Then you have to deal with people dying and complaining about not being able to get back in-game and other frivolous matters while trying to participate, yourself. rcj502
I tried to make a server for it but windows 8 doesn't like port forwarding atm
wabuf
Alright, this is by request for Lazy: Lazy wanted to know about all the basic components and setup of a typical Bukkit server. It covers beginner directory layout and intermediate command prompt / terminal, first-time configuration. It's an unlisted video, so no one sees it who doesn't have a direct link. Shaw_ShankD
I just wanted to add that if we do team based Ultra Hardcore and I'm ever available to play I could be a cameraman if needed
